Today, we worked together in collaborative groups and created a chain-reaction-machine! We planned our ideas, made mistakes, learned from them, made changes and had fun!
Video to follow soon. GPE held an aboriginal cultural day today. We danced, drummed, learned about animals, heard stories, learned about making bannock while eating it and shared our thoughts about the day.
The day finally came and we hosted the GPE Young Entrepreneur Show with Mrs. Hendricks and our classes selling their products! Everyone's efforts showed with the amazing products that were for sale. Many students sold out and made a nice profit. After clean up, we learned about subtracting the "float" and the loan, to figure out how much profit was made. Students then donated 10% to a charity of their choice: BC Cancer Society, A Homeless Shelter, Paws It Forward or the SPCA. What a fantastic and busy day!
A few GPE classes had a chance to listen to and ask questions to Officer Lund. She presented on drug prevention and decision making.
Our entire school got their hearts pumping all morning long by skipping, running, running the stairs, lunges, partner skipping and long rope skipping. Mme Roy took the crown for being able to skip the longest of all the staff! Congrats Mme Roy!
