Today was a great day of art (x-rays of our hands), STEM (straw shooters, figuring our how to make the best long distance shooter), dancing (Thriller, of course, and many others), games and goodies! Everyone who dressed up looked great in their halloween costumes!
We had a fun morning skating at Royal Lepage Place. Thank you to ALL the parent volunteers who came out to tie laces, cheer us on from the seats and coach us to become better skaters.
The class has been studying biomes. We finally presented our knowledge and were recorded by their classmates on iPads. One way of showing their knowledge was to create a small model (diagrams) of their biome. Here are some of the diaromas that were made. Other students made posters or power point presentations.
Today we worked on Place Value using CANDY! We first open the packages up, figured out how much of each colour we had and used those numbers to represent different place values. From there we worked with the 5 digit number to write it in many ways.... of course, when we were done, we got to eat it! Yum! It was a tasty math class!
